> About The GRAMMY Foundation:
> The GRAMMY Foundation was established in 1988 to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture. The Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage the music industry and cultural community as well as the general public. The Foundation works in partnership year-round with its founder, The Recording Academy, to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage. In recognition of the significant role of teachers in shaping their students’ musical experiences, The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation partnered to present their first Music Educator AwardTM in 2014. Open to current U.S. music teachers in kindergarten through college, the fourth annual Music Educator Award will be given out during GRAMMY Week 2017 and nominations are being accepted for the 2018 cycle. With funding generously provided by The Recording Academy, the GRAMMY Foundation Grant Program awards grants each year to support efforts that advance the preservation of music and the recorded sound heritage of North America, and research projects related to the impact of music on the human condition. Letters of inquiry are currently being accepted through Oct. 1, 2016, for the 2017 grant cycle. For more information about the Foundation, please visit www.grammyfoundation.org. > About The GRAMMY Museum:

> Sometimes the answer to all of life’s problems is to throw down on the dancefloor, Dancing Room Only NYC, in contrast to today’s more voyeuristic club experiences, intends to take the focus back to the dancefloor. We inspire to hire some of the world’s top talents who’ve proven to be successful in maintaining a heavy dancefloor vibe reminiscent of the “good old days” alongside some of NYC’s finest local DJs.

> Mateo&Matos: John "Roc" Mateo and Eddie "E-Z" Matos were both influenced by late 1970s disco. John Mateo started by broadcasting sets over his CB radio in 1985. It was through this self-produced show that Eddie Matos first made contact with John Mateo. They became friends and shortly afterward became professional partners. They have been inspired by listening to Larry Levan, Tony Humphries, Shep Pettibone and Little Louie Vega. They were introduced to Vega later that year, learning about studio production and engineering from him, and by 1989, they were working on their own productions. In the years from 1986 through 1989 Mateo & Matos performed at a large number of club festivals and old school block parties in the tri-state area of New York. After several releases on their own Final Cut Records label, they went on to record for Oxygen Music Works, Henry Street, Nervous Records, Nite Grooves and Spiritual Life Music in the mid-1990s. Their debut album as producers, New York Rhythms, appeared on the Scottish Glasgow Underground Recordings label in 1997, with a second volume appearing the following year. In 1999, these were followed by The Many Shades of Mateo & Matos.
>
> They’ve since brought their work to deejay appearances in over 30 countries and dozens of original productions and remixes on record labels such as Manuscript Records Ukraine, King Street Records, Defected Records, and Large Records.

> Wreal, Brian Morse & Jon Billick, aims to deliver intriguing sounds from the studio to the dance floor. After meeting in 2010 through mutual friends in New York, Brian Morse and Jon Billick uncovered common musical upbringing and interests. Both playing instruments and performing in bands before producing and releasing house music as solo artists, Jon and Brian now collaborate as Wreal constructing their tracks with analog sounds, live instruments, and samples from their own vinyl collection. The duo’s production style embraces all spectrums of dance music from swung-out funky beats to deep, dubby techno. Recently performing in New York, Newark and Amsterdam, Wreal’s first release Bunker on Laboratory Records pays homage to their first studio found deep under the streets of Soho.
